About Lumecca IPL

Lumecca IPL, developed by InMode, is a breakthrough intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment designed to treat pigmented and vascular lesions. Using photo-thermolysis technology to target specific tissue, Lumecca works by heating and destroying damaged skin cells by delivering a comfortable light treatment. After your very first session, you'll be able to notice an improvement. 

What is Lumecca IPL and how does it work? 

Lumecca IPL uses heat and light with a high pulse repetition rate and a large treatment head area that implements a specific wavelength which precisely targets the concerned lesions. As the Lumecca provides multiple wavelengths, no lesion is too shallow or too deep to treat. Lumecca IPL features a strong sapphire cooling tip for higher treatment comfort, plus treatment time is reduced due to the large spot size and high pulse repetition rate. Following just one treatment, patients can experience a noticeable improvement in the health and clarity of the skin.

After your treatment, you may notice some redness and slight warming of the skin - this is normal and usually subsides within an hour. Over the next 24-48 hours you may see darkening of pigmented spots. In the week after, the pigmented lesions will flake off, giving you a more even skin tone. After vascular, acne or any vein removal you may see the redness blanch and disappear and colour change in the vessel, which dissipates after a few days.

Benefits of Lumecca IPL

Lumecca IPL can reduce vascular lesions, including port wine stains, facial telangiectasias, rosacea, erythema of rosacea, angiomas and spider angiomas, poikiloderma of Civatte and venous malformations. It also effectively treats acne, benign pigmented epidermal lesions, including dyschromia, hyperpigmentation, and freckles.

How many treatments will I need? 

The number of treatments required will depend on your skin type, however, we generally recommend six treatments to achieve desired results.
