What is a Fractional CO2 Laser?
Fractional CO2 laser became a breakthrough treatment when fractional technology emerged. This procedure involving the use of carbon dioxide (CO2) and a skin surface ablative laser is designed to remove acne scars, uneven skin tone and texture, large pores, scarring, deep wrinkles, age spots, sunspots, surgical scars, trauma scars, pigmentation as well as vulva lightening and vaginal tightening.
How does it work?
The Fractional CO2 Laser uses multiple small columns of laser beams with spaces in between rather than larger beams that target the entire surface of the skin. The laser beams focus on the water in your skin and ablate tiny columns to a very precise depth. Each pass of the laser removes a thin layer of skin which stimulates a regenerative process and the body then replaces damaged tissues with healthier cells. A laser beam of a specific energy level is directed at the affected area penetrating the skin and causing the tissue to break down. The depth of treatment is adjusted according to your condition.
